The “Paris-Le Mont-Saint-Michel” Véloscénie itinerary covers 434km, of which 143km are in Orne and include 75km of greenways, ideal for safe cycling with the whole family!
On its way to Mont Saint Michel, this spectacular route explores the landscape from the Perche region to the wooded countryside of Normandy, in a beautiful natural environment across 2 of the itinerary’s 3 regional nature parks. It includes Perche manor houses, the lacemaking town of Alençon, the Château de Carrouges, the Grand Domaine Bagnoles-de-l’Orne, the medieval town of Domfront and many more of the heritage features of Orne.
This itinerary offers you the chance to discover or rediscover a few heritage hotspots, including 5 UNESCO-listed sites:
- Paris, Banks of the Seine
- Palace & Gardens of Versailles
- Chartres Cathedral
- The craft of Alençon needlepoint lace
