Le Lac de Rabodanges (2ème catégorie)

Presentation

Covering an area of 90 ha for a maximum depth of 18 meters, the Rabodanges Lake,
an EDF reservoir, was put in water in 1960, drowning a portion of the Orne river. Plenty of
fish in the Rabodanges Lake, it is a quality site for predator fishing,
including zander, perch and pike. Some pike are around one meter long.
There are not many access to the banks so a boat is essential to reach the best
spots for fishing. The lake has two piers: one in Putanges which is very easy to reach
and well laid out, the other at the naval base located on the right bank,
downstream of Pont Sainte-Croix. No boat hire possible on the spot.
