Presentation

The river, whose bed consists of large stones, is located in a wildlife site in the middle of the massif des Andaines. This valley, known as Gorges de Villiers, is identified as a sensitive natural area of Orne Department. The river is home to a large population of crayfish that you will catch with the help of scales. The crayfish is found in shallow waters where it digs holes to hide among rocks or stumps, mainly along the riverbanks. Other rivers concealing crayfish: La Varenne, the Hoësne, Sarthe.
